About Us
Midreshet Ora is a Modern Orthodox seminary in the heart of Jerusalem,
dedicated to cultivating women who are literate in Torah, inspired by tradition, and eager to engage the modern world with strength and clarity.
Our warm, growth-oriented environment invites each student to explore her individuality while forming lifelong friendships and a profoundly meaningful connection to the people and land of Israel. Through dynamic classes, vibrant Beit Midrash learning, and an immersive Israel experience, students deepen their knowledge and build a relationship with themselves and Hashem that will guide them for life.

Our Vision
To raise a generation of passionate, knowledgeable Jewish women
who can stand confidently in today’s world while remaining rooted in Torah and mitzvot.
We envision graduates who love learning, cherish the Jewish people, and carry the light of Torah back to their families, universities, and communities—women who will inspire others through their wisdom, kindness, and commitment to a life of meaning.

Because a year in Israel should ignite a lifetime of love for Torah, tradition and the land of Israel.
Midreshet Ora is more than just a gap-year program, it’s a transformative experience that blends serious learning, spiritual growth, and deep connection to the Land of Israel. Students don’t just learn Torah, they internalize it, developing clarity, resilience, and a lifelong connection to Hashem and Am Yisrael. Our students return to their respective homes with a strong and confident Jewish identity, a passionate relationship with Torah, and the tools to lead in their communities and families.
